WHAT IS INVISALIGN?

It is a treatment that uses a series of nearly invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that allow you to smile more during treatment as well as after. These clear aligners are made with 3D computer imaging technology and have been proven effective. To ensure the perfect fit, these aligners are created from a mold of your mouth that your dentist will make after your first appointment.

WHAT IS THE BENEFIT?

Invisalign® aligners are virtually invisible, they are removable, and they are made of a comfortable material. This means you can wear them all day without anyone noticing, you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment, and you don’t have to worry about sores in your mouth. Being removable also makes brushing and flossing easy, which means your teeth will remain healthy during treatments. They are also more comfortable than traditional braces, with no metal or wires. WHAT IS INVOLVED?

To get straightened teeth from Invisalign® you need to wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. After the two weeks you will be given a new aligner that will help your teeth move week by week until they are in their final positions. You’ll visit your dentist once every six weeks or so to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. The total treatment time for Invisalign® averages 9 to 15 months, and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30.
