Dr. King completed his dental degree at the
University
of Saskatchewan in 1993. During his dental education he won numerous awards,
including The Gold Medal in Dentistry for graduating first in his class, and
The W.A. Cotter Award for demonstrating the most caring

attention to his patients during the program. Upon Graduating with Great Distinction,
Dr. King relocated his family to Medicine Hat and was a founding partner of
Courtyard Dental Centre. He practiced general dentistry there for close to ten
years.
In 2002, Dr. King was one of three dentists in Alberta accepted to the graduate
orthodontic program at the
University
of Alberta. His thesis involved extensive research on the use of low dose
computerized tomography in orthodontic diagnosis. In 2005, Dr. King returned
to Medicine Hat to provide increased access to orthodontic treatment for Southern
Alberta. He practices in “The Ridge”; a building he designed and
constructed with his partner, Dr. Thomas Mohanraj.
On a personal note, Dr King is married with three children. He enjoys fitness
activities with his family and friends and keeping abreast of the latest technological
innovations in orthodontics.
